About the Shot

The Old Pier, Swanage. Taken on a very misty day. I had to clean my filters after each shot, I think black and white suits the mood of this image. The original pier was built between 1859 and 1861 for use by the local stone quarrying industry. Unfortunately this declined along with the pier. All that remain are the wooden piles.
