About the Shot

This photo was taken in Bishop CA in the fall of 2011. I was on 2-month road trip with Everest climber Leif Whittaker as a precursor to his second Everest summit. We were lucky enough to be out climbing right after the first snow fell in the mountains and some beautiful clouds rolled over to create some amazing light!
