This young Peruvian boy smiles at the camera as he celebrates Umisha, a traditional carnival in the amazon. The celebration consists of getting each other as dirty as possible by playing and dancing in the mud before striking down a tree in which they have hung candy and gifts. In the jungle, Peruvians of all ages take part in the popular carnival. While my brother and I, curious as we were, approached close enough to photograph them in action, they excitedly took us by the hand and made us join the fun!
