About the Shot
POSTE Market Cafe, is a plan to offer underserved urban communities a place to buy affordable fresh produce, pantry items and healthy prepared foods. Michael Hrzic's dream is to turn an Chicago urban food desert into an urban food pantry. The problem, of course, is that real estate is expensive. Instead of being in an actual building, POSTE Markets will be built inside repurposed 40 x 8′ shipping containers. This way, the market can be moved to various locales where public land exists, and where communities are most in need. FollowSpot Media jumped at the chance to help make this a reality. In making a video to send to investors and Kickstarter, we recreated a large Italian family dinner around a old farm table, in the middle of a vacant lot, with bountiful baskets of fruits and vegetables. MIchael invited families and friends, piled the table high, and feasted, toasting the idea that soon others would be able to enjoy the same. While the adults finished dinner, the kids entertained themselves. Take Michael's son NIco, a basket of beautiful orange banana peppers, and voilá, Pepper Play.
