Bio

Born and bred in the most isolated city in the world. Luke has been captivated by skateboarding and visual mediums for more than ten years. Starting out at ground level capturing his friends on video skateboarding around Perth. Then transitioning on to focus on still images after a few years. He has now grown into a full time professional photographer shooting a wide range including advertising, fashion and music. Maintaining the passion for his work and giving it 100% Luke is excited to find out where the future will take him.

About the Shot

A truly collaborative effort was needed to pull off this sidewalk wave. With all round ruler Justin Ward steering the wave machine at just the right speed to create a nice ride. Sidewalk shredder Barry Mansfield pushing nice and fast then carving into the danger zone with perfect timing. Lastly the role I played in capturing the madness on camera to share with everyone. Luckily the team effort paid off without any casualties. I couldn't have asked for anything more, though I think Barry would have liked a hot shower before the 30 minute car ride home.
