About the Shot
Lake Almanor by Lassen Volcanic National Park CA. The Lake is caught between three wildfires, two from the North, and one from the West beyond the sunset. The wildfire smoke was covering about 80% of the sky which created an unreal orange/y
ellow glow throughout the day.
Temperatures were about 92, but with the layer of smoke covering the sun, it actually dropped to about 83 in this part of the lake. On a normal day you can see part of Lassen through that glow of smoke.
