About the Shot
I've been going since I was in the womb, literally, to this entire area of Lassen. My mother always tells a story of me, being pregnant, a bear across a picnic table, and a can of peaches the Black Bear wanted from her. Six or Seven flash-lights were shining up from other campers to their campsite on a hill, "There's a bear up there!" My father at their station wagon at the bottom of the hill, "My pregnant wife is up there!" I would have to say I love everything. Absolutely everything about this area reminds me of what is "good" in life. Really, the Lassen area is a special place in my heart, and I have always felt like I left my childhood there, or that is where it exists, somewhere on top of that mountain, running around Plumas County and through just about every stream in the area. The stocked trout, the native trout, Hatcreek to Burney Falls to Cave Campground to Butte Lake to Old Station; I wish I could go every weekend. I plan on going back once the fire has stopped for a pictorial. I'll be spending a lot more time in the Lassen area for some things I have planned with photo projects the next few years
