About the Shot
"Ethereal Visions" - Nighttime photography is something that most landscape photographers love, I'm no exception. Whats not to love from the long exposures, extremely low ISOs, and of course the smooth velvety night sky. This image was captured in upstate New York. I've been searching for the perfect nighttime exposure of a starry night, but it was eluding me for so long. I found this location overlooking a mountain, and set the camera up for a long exposure and the ending result was what you see before you. The clouds passing through during the course of the long exposure was just a happy accident. The clouds passing through is what inspired me to name this piece "Ethereal Visions". Sometimes, it is better to be lucky than good. This was one those times. Enjoy the view.
