A recent winter escape to Sayulita Mexico was just the vacation one could hope for. Although the ocean was flat, the tranquillo ambiance was impossible not to be absorbed into. It was all encompassing. THis photo, of a very accomplished and extremely talented local artist, was a regular takings in. Extraordinary, while at the same time it just made sense, in a common sort of way. People doing what they loved to do, with no better or worse; simply simple. This of course is an easy and even desired understanding of the ever happy traveler. Where do we look to for inspiration?.... as the painter raises his brow he reminds me of Gepetto from the fairytale of old.
